IU Codevelopment (Red)

  • 17-acre site
  • No demolition required
  • At least 320,500+ square feet
  • 2-4 story lab/office buildings
  • 8-10 acre minimum tenant preferred
  • Building architecture must meet IU Board of Trustee's design guidelines
  • Tenants must actively collaborate with Indiana University (research, internships, commercialization, licensing, etc.)
  • Tenant must operate in an advanced technology industry, such as biotech or health information technology
  • Note: Indiana University reserves the right to engage or not engage potential end-users at its discretion

Infrastructure Improvements

From the beginning, the city has planned for 16 Tech's long-range development. To ensure growth and sustainability, a number of infrastructure improvements – estimated at approximately $9.7 million – are already underway in area surrounding 16 Tech.

Enhancements and new additions to the life sciences technology park include:

  • Greenways and bike routes
  • Sustainable landscape featuring indigenous plants and trees
  • A multi-modal technology trail
  • Bioswales throughout Helix Park to ensure the removal of silt and pollution from surface runoff water
